All of our teachers are passionate about music—and more importantly about supporting your child's musical journey.
During their classes, they create a fun, informal, musically rich social setting that supports the varied learning styles of both children and adults.
All of our teachers have successfully completed the live Music Together® Teacher Training, which is built on research in early childhood and music development. Many of our teachers have also completed the live Canta y Baila Conmigo® Teacher Training developed by Maddie Welch, creator of Canta y Baila Conmigo. We keep our skills fresh through workshops every semester and advanced trainings offered by Music Together Worldwide and Canta y Baila Conmigo LLC.

Adriana was born in Bogota, Colombia but from the time she was two years old until she was eight, she was raised in Trinidad & Tobago, Puerto Rico, and Ottawa, Canada, before returning to Colombia. Eventually, Adriana moved to Miami where she studied International Business at Barry University. After getting married, she obtained her MBA at FIU, in International Business, and then worked in international investments, mostly with the Caribbean and Brazil for 5 years.
Once she became a mom, Adriana decided to change gears and spend her time raising her two boys, Victor and Kevin. As a mom, she has been able to enjoy her main passions: family, music, languages, fitness, and nature. In 2011, she completed an advanced level Child Brain Development certification course from The Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential in Philadelphia, PA. She became a certified prenatal and postnatal fitness instructor for Fit4Mom-Stroller Strides and taught at Evelyn Greer Park for two years. During that time, she was also inspired to share and "play" yoga with kids (including her two sons) after completing a Karma Kids Yoga Instructor training program. In 2014, she created Yes! I Did It! LLC and has been teaching yoga and languages to kids through games and music. Adriana holds current CPR/AED and First Aid certificates.
Music Together came into Adriana's life five years ago, when she enrolled Victor for classes at the Pinecrest Community Center. When Kevin was born, he also attended classes. Adriana loved Music Together since the first session and still loves it now! She is excited for the opportunity to teach classes for Miami Kids Music and share her love of music. Her musicality has been influenced by Latin American, Caribbean, Brazilian, American and Middle Eastern music. She also enjoys classical music and jazz. As a child she learned to play the recorder flute and the flute, sang in her school's choir, and acquired basic knowledge of piano and violin. Adriana also enjoys dancing and has performed different types of dances including ballet, Colombian folklore dances, and salsa. After college, she performed at theaters and restaurants, such as Bongos Cuban Cafe Orlando, for two years with Ishta, a Middle Eastern dance troupe.
Jessica was born and raised in South Miami, Florida.
Laurie Luczak was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. She grew up with a strong love of the arts that included dance, music and the visual arts. Her mother played the piano and passed this gift on to her and her siblings.
Laurie also enjoyed playing clarinet and was awarded a seat in the area's all county band for consecutive years through middle school .
In college Laurie decided to focus on her love of the visual arts. In 1993 she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from The State University of New York at Buffalo. She then went on to receive a Master of Fine Arts in Illustration from The School of Visual Arts in New York City in 1995. She remained in New York working as an editorial illustrator for just under 20 years. Her work has been published in the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes Magazine and several other publications. While in New York she also worked for a world renowned picture framing company. Her most special projects included framing a self portrait by Rembrandt and working directly with former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright to frame her official Department of State portrait.
After giving birth to her son Silas in 2013, Laurie decided that a slower pace was in order. Deciding to change her focus to motherhood she and her husband moved to Houston, Texas. There she was introduced to Music Together at Prelude Music Classes For Children. She started taking classes with Silas when he was 7 months old and continues to take classes with him today. She has enjoyed the gifts that Music Together has brought to motherhood in the incredible way it has shown her how to share music with Silas. She has cherished this special time with him and has had the privilege of witnessing his musical development grow and evolve.
Music Together has also helped Laurie rediscover her own musicality. After a move to Miami in 2015 she decided to train and become a registered Music Together teacher.
Laurie continues to enjoy music with her husband Mark and Silas by going to see as much live local music as possible. Whether it be classical, jazz or traditional Irish music they love sharing the gift of music together.
Miami Kids Music is thrilled to have Laurie become a part our family!
